Healing depression and anxiety

The mind is an organ attached to the rest of the body. If a person does not get proper micronutrients and or if a person has heavy metal toxicity, the mind will be unhealthy and be plagued with poor mental health. The body was designed to always try to move towards healing. If the conditions that caused the health problem are resolved, the body will naturally move towards healing. Mental vigor returns when a person eats foods that heal and detoxes from heavy metals and toxins. A lot of the information below also applies to other mental concerns like ADHD and even dementia.

Basics for good mental health

Eat only organic and unprocessed foods. Read the ‘what to eat’ section on the website to learn more. Soak grains before using them since this enables their critical nutrients needed for mind body health to be absorbable in the body. Eat a healing bread at least a few times a week. Read the ‘healing bread’ section on the website to learn how to make a healing bread that has critical B complex vitamins needed for mental and physical health. A healing bread provides sustenance that supports all life functions. Commercial bread causes IBS, Colitis, Crohn’s and leaky gut. Omega 3 oils need to be eaten daily for brain and nerve function and can be found in chia seeds, flaxseeds and pasture raised eggs. Stay away from inflammatory oils like vegetable, canola and trans fats like margarine and hydrogenated oil (in processed foods). Food additives and coloring also disturb brain function. Stay away from refined sugar and foods like high fructose corn syrup and refined grains, that have the same negative effect on the body as sugar. Sugar poisons the mind. In order to process sugar, the body gets depleted of key minerals it needs to function. It takes 72 hours for an adult to rebalance the calcium phosphorus balance in the body after consuming one teaspoon of sugar. After eating sugar, there is a mental and physical ‘crash’ after the initial sugar rush. Sugar is also more addictive than cocaine and it takes two weeks to detox from cravings after stopping to eat sugar.

Stay away from fake sugar like aspartame. Aspartame is a serious neurotoxin that causes depression.
Exercise one to two miles everyday with a brisk walk at a rate of four miles per hour, which is 2 miles in 30 minutes or less. Exercise improves blood flow for circulation and mental clarity, helps a person detox from toxins (through elimination and the skin) and release hormones that boost mood.
Getting at least 15 minutes of daily sunshine everyday. Early morning sun is very healing and helps set the body’s circadian rhythm. Lack of sunshine causes depression.
Many medications have serious side effects that cause mental illness like depression. Synthetic drugs cause the whole body to get more out of balance without addressing the root cause of an illness. Read the drug insert or look up the side effects online.

Hormonal medications, like birth control pills, are a class one carcinogen and are known to cause anxiety and depression. Antibiotics can cause mental illness since they kill microorganisms that a person needs to function. Fermented vegetables should be eaten a few times a week since the brain is connected to gut health and these probiotic microorganisms are intrinsic to gut and full-body health. Sometimes a person will get depression or psychosis after a round of antibiotics since critical microorganisms were killed.

EMF radiation can affect mental health and cause anxiety or depression. Some EMF sources are smart meters from the electric company, cell phones, and Wifi. A simple electric meter can be obtained from the electric company where someone comes monthly instead of the electric company getting a usage reading remotely. Research clearly shows that radiation from wireless technology affects the autonomic nervous system and increases anxiety and stress by upregulating the sympathetic nervous and downregulating the parasympathetic nervous system. 

Herbs for mental distress

Herbal antidepressants are St. John’s wort, lavender, motherwort, lemon balm, passion flower, kava kava and ashwagandha.
Herbal nervine relaxants that help promote calm at lower doses and sleep at higher doses are milky oats, St. John’s wort, vervain, valerian, hops, California poppy, skullcap, ashwagandha, chamomile, kava and lemon balm. These herbs can help anxiety.

Cannabis is a very potent herb that can be used for anxiety or depression. Phytocannabinoids in cannabis can help neurotransmitter imbalances in the body’s own endocannabinoid system. Heavy metals cause mental illness

Some sources of aluminum are: aluminum pans and cookware, deodorant, cosmetics, nasal spray, tap water, aluminum foil and beverages in aluminum cans. Aluminum is in vaccines. There are 250 mcg of aluminum in the HepB vaccine. Antacids for heartburn have huge amounts of aluminum. (There are herbal alternatives for heartburn like taking 1 teaspoon of organic cayenne pepper spice in water.) Aluminum is used as an anticaking agent in processed foods like table salt, baking powder, vanilla powder and processed cheese.
Mercury is in silver amalgam dental fillings which are half mercury by weight that release mercury vapors into the head with every bite of hot and cold food. Mental illness is just one of the many body functions that will get disturbed from heavy metal toxicity. If someone is full of heavy metals from vaccines, metals can disturb every function of the body because the body displaces minerals for metals. A serious heavy metal detox is needed if the person was vaccinated. How to detox from heavy metals

Chlorella and homemade probiotic foods are both the best heavy metal detox methods.
Certain algae like chlorella and spirulina are single cell microorganisms that have the unique ability to bind to heavy metals when ingested. These algae don’t break down further in the body because they are single cell and they have the ability to soak up metals which then get eliminated from the body. They are a very effective way of detox but one must make sure the source for the algae is clean from metals and radioactive substances. Because algae works as a sponge, if they are from a toxic source, they will soak up toxins at their source of origin. If someone consumes algae from an impure source, it is like eating a dirty sponge because they will be putting more toxins in their body. Algae must be checked by a third party lab that tests for radioactive substances and heavy metals to make sure it is free of these toxins. The Pacific Ocean is now severely polluted with radioactive nucleotides after the 2011 Fukushima radioactive spill that was dumped there. All Pacific fish (like wild Alaskan fish) is polluted with radiative substances like Cesium 137. Algae that is sourced in the Pacific Ocean has been tested to be full of dangerous radioactive substances. Eat homemade probiotic foods. Make your own, so they are more potent. The book ‘Cultured food in a Jar’ by Donna Schwenk has recipes and teaches how to make fermented vegetables, kefir and kombucha. You can reuse some brine from your first batch that was made with a starter culture, instead of using a starter in each new batch. The active brine from fermented vegetables can jumpstart the next batch of vegetables to ferment, like using a vegetable starter. ‘Fermented Vegetables’ by Shockey is a book of fermented vegetables recipes that don’t need a vegetable starter.
Other ways to help heavy metal detox :
Drink filtered water. This is the most important and most basic one. There are 60,000 chemicals in city tap water which puts a tremendous burden on the liver and the rest of the body. Limit new toxicity in order for the body to be able to detox from injected toxins (vaccines). Get a reverse osmosis filter that can filter out fluoride which is a very small chemical that can be removed through reverse osmosis. Fluoride is an endocrine disrupter and is a by-product of aluminum manufacturing. It does not prevent cavities! Fluoride is a chemical that damages the entire body. (Also get fluoride free toothpaste). Or you can order glass water bottles from Mountain Valley Spring water.
Eat cruciferous vegetables (fresh broccoli, fresh cauliflower, kale, cabbage, radishes).
The herb cilantro is a powerful detoxifier. Get fresh organic cilantro. Either puree it in a blender to add to fresh squeezed lemon in water to make a liver detox drink. Or add cilantro to homemade fresh juice Cuisinart makes a good juicer. Or add some fresh cilantro to salad. Cilantro tastes great in vegetable soups but for detox purposes raw cilantro works best. Eat (organic) apples with the peel and seeds. Eating pectin helps detox. Pectin can be found in the apple peel and in the white part between the grapefruit and peel. You can use a knife to peel a grapefruit leaving as much as possible of the white part. The peel has pectin and the seeds are full of micronutrient B17 which destroy stem cancer cells. Since vaccines are full of carcinogens, eating apricot seeds and apple seeds which both are full of B17 is important to prevent cancer because they destroy cancer stem cells.
Putting on a liver castor oil pack at night. The liver creates glutathione which is the molecule the body uses to remove toxins. (in contrast: acetaminophen/Tylenol removes glutathione, takes away the body’s natural way of getting rid of toxins, that’s why acetaminophen/ Tylenol been linked with autism and is so toxic) To create more glutathione naturally (since eating synthetic glutathione in pill form isn’t recommended), you smear on the skin by the liver organic castor oil /hexane free. You can buy organic castor oil /hexane free in a glass bottle from vitacost.com. And you smear it on the skin on the liver area generously. The liver is on the front right side of the body below the ribs. Then you take a cotton flannel scarf or cotton towel to place on top of the oil on the skin and strap fabric ends around the body by sewing or safety pinning on velcro or elastic straps. The cotton fabric around the body protects the night clothes and sheets from getting oil stains. When the castor oil sinks into the skin all night, a person will see a better bowel movement the next morning which is the body getting rid of heavy metal toxins. You can use cotton fabric that is absorbent like a baby pad from Target and then sew elastic on each end to make self ties.

An adult (approx. 150 lb.) should take 1 full dropper diluted in a cup of water twice a day. Adjust amount for a child based on weight.
Herbs like milk thistle help the liver detox. You can buy organic milk thistle seeds at vitacost.com or nuts.com and then use a coffee grinder to grind it fresh and add to smoothies.
Heavy metal detox symptoms:
Sometimes, in some cases, there can be detox symptoms. It’s important to be aware of that sometimes when the body is detoxing, moving metals to eliminate them, there can be detox symptoms: Fatigue, joint pain, skin rashes are some common symptoms. (The last thing you want to do is get a steroid cream for a rash which will stop the skin from detoxing. Coconut oil with geranium, lavender, myrrh and manuka essential oils can help soothe the rash.)
If detox symptoms are too hard, you can go slower on detox. Do not be concerned about these or other strange, sudden symptoms. Just let the body detoxify and eventually the symptoms will go away. Then the body will have less toxins and it will be overall much healthier. Detox symptoms may come weeks after a detox starts. If detox symptoms are too strong, you can continue detoxing at a slower pace.
A gluten and dairy free diet is very important for detox. Both gluten and dairy are damaging to the body because they cause leaky gut. Leaky gut causes systemic inflammation and serious degenerative and chronic disease. 

Getting off psychiatric drugs

There is no chemical imbalance when a person has a mental health concern. This is a myth. It is the psychiatric drugs that will cause a chemical imbalance and these toxic pills will drive a person further and further from good mental health. Like all synthetic drugs, they do not address the root cause. A person who wants to get off psychiatric medication needs to realize that psychiatrists are trained to put people on pill prescriptions and have no idea on how to take people off of them. Psychiatrists do not warn people that they are very addictive drugs, cause a dependency and do not heal a person. Since the body is always trying to maintain balance, when a person takes these toxic medications, the body tries to recalibrate to function in spite of these toxins. When a person stops taking these medications, a person may need to push through temporary physical and/ or mental symptoms as the body recalibrates to function again without the medication. Botanical medicine (herbs) can support a person to help mental distress and physical symptoms during this weaning off process. When a person bolsters their body with healthy food, detoxes from heavy metals, eats fermented probiotic vegetables and chlorella, stays away from heavy metals and toxins, exercises and has people they can get emotional comfort, they will be able to get past the withdrawal symptoms.
