Take a frozen whole organic chicken. Place in a crockpot with nothing added, no water and no spices! Cook on low overnight for a total of 12-14 hours. (If you add salt, the cooking time will be reduced.)
The chicken will be very soft and the gravy from the chicken skin will be released.
You can set a timer to for it to start a specific time, if you want the chicken to be ready at a specific time.
Tip
In Israel, Meshek Melamed sells organic locally raised chicken. And they stock it in the freezer section of Zmora Organi and Nizat.
